Pierre Lanfranchi is a Research Professor in History at ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· since 1993 and is one of the creators of the MA in Sports History and Culture at ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· and the FIFA International MA in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport. He is fluent in French, English, German and Italian, with a good knowledge of Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese. He has lectured and supervised in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian, and has also lectured in Spanish.
Pierre is co-Scientific Director of the FIFA International MA and is the Internationalisation of Sport sub-module leader. He is currently working with the Centre International d’Etude du Sport (CIES) as Scientific General Coordinator of the FIFA/CIES International University Network. To date, the network counts 14 universities from 13 different countries as part of the project (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela).
In 2008, Professor Lanfranchi was appointed Chair of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on the Role of Sports in Society.
