Meera Borsara started her role as a full-time Lecturer at Castle Business School ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Leicester on 01/February/2023.
Meera is a fully qualified, academically astute, and results-driven Senior Lecturer in Business Management based in the UK, specialising in Strategic Management, Corporate Sustainability and Business Ethics.
She holds a good relevant honours degree within the field of Business (awarded with a 1st class). She further holds a postgraduate degree in the field of Business (awarded with a Distinction). She has an additional Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership by the Chartered Management Institute. Further to this, she holds a PGLTVS (Postgraduate Learning and Teaching in Vocational Studies) teaching qualification (by the University of Birmingham) as well as, holds a Senior Fellowship (SFHEA) status of the Higher Education Academy.
Alongside her academic qualifications, she has over seven years of extensive experience in teaching and supporting students across undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as colleagues. Currently, Meera serves at ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, where she is a key contributor to both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
In her role at ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, Meera teaches on the BA Business Management undergraduate programme (at Level 5) and the MSc International Business postgraduate programme (at Level 7). Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Meera also serves as a personal tutor and supervisor, guiding students through their dissertations and consulting projects within the MSc International Business programme. She is also the Module Leader for the Level 6 Strategy for Business Administration module for the BA Business Administration programme.
Before joining ¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, Meera held the position of a Module Leader and Programme Leader for Leeds Trinity University. In this capacity, Meera worked closely with the teaching team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to enhance their teaching practices. This role allowed Meera to focus on mentoring and developing peers, transitioning from a primary focus on student teaching to a dual emphasis on teaching and colleague support. As a line manager, Meera had the opportunity to observe and mentor peers across a variety of Business and Enterprise modules, fostering both new and experienced colleagues' development.
Meera is also an external examiner at the University of Northampton for the BA Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme. In this role, Meera offers ongoing developmental support to the teaching team, ensuring that the university meets the minimum standards while enhancing programme quality through valuable recommendations. Her expertise is also utilised in examining the university's overseas partnership programmes, broadening their impact on international education standards.
