Personal profile

I am an Adult and Children’s Nurse and have worked across many specialities. I was initially a gynaecology nurse and after completing my Sick Children’s Nurse Training I worked in children’s medicine. This led me to developing a passion for diabetes and I subsequently set up and lead a children’s diabetes nursing service. Teaching others became my passion and I eventually became an Education and Practice Development Lead at a local hospital. After gaining my PGCERT in Practice Education and a period of time working in Quality & Safety I retired from the NHS and moved into higher education. I have a passion for leadership and am lead for intravenous medication skill and co-module lead for the leadership and service improvement module.
