Personal profile

Phil Wilson is a public sector policy practitioner who has worked in local government for over 25 years specialising in policy and project development focused on community development and partnership engagement. Phil has wide ranging experience in developing and managing EU funded projects.

Research interests/expertise

Phil is very interested in exploring how local communities can be engaged in discussion/debate about technological innovation and how they can be supported to build their capacity to become active partners in research for the common good.

Consultancy work

Phil has managed a number of significant funding applications under the following EU funding streams:

  • INTERREG
  • LEONARDO
  • EQUAL
  • ADAPT

He currently works with a number of Voluntary and Community Sector organisations focussing on building partnerships and funding proposals to non-statutory sources of funding such as the Big Lottery and charitable trusts.
